Webster defines a ritual as "a ceremonial act or action or an act or series of acts regularly repeated in a set precise manner."
Let's face reality: rituals, especially in church, can get pretty boring and meaningless. Wecan go on "auto-pilot" without the slightest idea (or concern) why we are doing what we aredoing. Over the next two weeks at CrossWalk, we are going to celebrate two essential Christian rituals, communion and baptism, with a look back as to why these practices areso much more than routine.
